If you are a local customer, you can choose to pickup your purchase yourself or to use our local delivery service.
PICKUP: If you choose to pickup your order, pickup is available during our Weekend Warehouse sale hours (Friday-Monday). We are closed to the public for pickups Tuesday through Thursday.
DELIVERY: If you choose to have your order delivered, we offer a professional, local delivery service for an additional charge. Rates will vary depending on the items purchased and the shipping address. You will receive a specific quote on the checkout page once you’ve added products to your shopping cart. Please note the delivery dates and times are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

NATIONAL SHIPPING: If you live outside of our local delivery zone, you may have the option of freight shipment. Most items on our site exceed the size and weight limits of carriers like UPS and FedEx, so transporting these shipments requires the use of large freight companies. We currently do not offer in-home, white glove delivery service; the customer would be responsible for carrying the items indoors. National curbside shipping rates will vary depending on the items purchased and the shipping address.

Founded in 1996 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, Southern Motion™ started off with a rocking beginning as they found their place in the furniture industry. As a household name for furniture, Southern Motion has thrived throughout the years, introducing new products to customers looking for style and comfort combined.
In the beginning, the idea was simple: manufacture only reclining furniture and make it better than anyone ever had. All they needed was a name. One day while Guy Lipscomb (Co-founder) and his wife, Sandy were shopping, they happened across a painting entitled “Southern Motion” by a Birmingham, Alabama, artist. Following that discovery, the painting served not only as the inspiration for the company’s name, it also embodies the spirit of the product to be manufactured with relaxation and comfort in mind for all Southern Motion furniture.
